Food at the Festival

Updated for 2024

Our hosts at the Howard County Fairgrounds provide a wide variety of fair-style food concession booths throughout the grounds. From ribbon chips to ice cream, gyros to cotton candy, there is plenty to snack on.

There are also food booths throughout the grounds serving mouth-watering lamb dishes, from lamburgers and leg of lamb sandwiches to gyros and lamb sausages.

Looking for a sit-down meal? Our Saturday Night Dinner and Sunday Breakfast Buffet are always popular events at the festival. Watch for more details to come!

If you are shopping for food to take home with you, be sure and visit the Home Arts Building. There you will find lamb cuts from local producers, as well as goat’s milk cheese, local honey, and more.

Our Festival Farm Market (outdoors, near the main gate) keeps getting stronger, featuring locally grown, crafted, and prepared farm goods. Stop by for:

  • Lamb and sheepskins from Chestnut Creek Farm and the Maryland Lamb Co-op
  • Coffee and fresh baked goods
  • Fine herb and salt blends; artisan mustards, pesto, nuts and condiments
  • Vegetable and flowering plants
  • Beer from Milkhouse Brewery
    …and more!

Bring your cooler and become part of the farm-to-fork (or pasture-to-plate) movement!
