Reminder - Applications for the 2015 Youth Conservationist program must be postmarked by April 1st. This program is a way to enable youth to experience the joys and responsibilities of conserving heritage wool sheep breeds. Selected youths between 9 and 18 years old will be awarded a registered ewe to use for breeding. Winners will be announced at the Festival. See

If you plan on selling fleeces in the Fleece Show and Sale, don't forget that if you are a member of the Maryland Sheep Breeders Association as of April 1st, you will be charged a 10% commission instead of the usual 20%. Memberships can be purchased through our online registration system. You can also mail a check, but it needs to be postmarked by April 1st.
