This art competition is intended to encourage artists to participate in the Festival with their entries featuring sheep or wool related subjects. The competition is open to ALL artists. Size limitation is a maximum of 48 inches in any direction, including frame. All entries must be suitably framed and equipped for hanging.
Artists are eligible to enter two pieces of work in every class. The same exhibitor can only win the Best of Show prize for three consecutive years.

The Festival gives the artist the opportunity to offer their competition pieces for sale. The price, along with the artist's name, title of the artwork, and other pertinent information will be posted on the artwork at the conclusion of the judging. There will be a 10% commission on all sales. The purchaser will make checks payable to the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival.
Entries are to be delivered Friday, May 2 between 12:00 noon and 3:00 pm.
If you need to mail in your entry, contact the Fine Arts Chairman. Please include return postage. Judging will be at 5:00 pm. All work must remain throughout the Festival and is to be removed Sunday, May 4 between 5:00 and 6:00 pm. Any pieces not picked up become the property of the Maryland Sheep Breeders Association. The Festival committee assumes no responsibility for damage or loss of entries, but will make every effort to display and care for all the art pieces entered.
