JF30 Dream Catcher

with Barbara Volk

The ancient legend of the dreamcatcher comes from the Ojibwe people. The story speaks of the spider woman known as Asibikaasi, who took care of the people of the land. When the Ojibwe nation grew it became difficult for Asibikaasi to reach all of the children, so the mothers and grandmothers would weave magical webs for the children. The Dreamcatcher would filter out the bad dreams and allow only good thoughts to enter our minds. Weave your good dreams into your own Dreamcatcher. Age 5+.
