All Breeds Sheep Show & Sale

Our successful All Breeds Sheep Show & Sale continues, and this year will include the National Romney Sale. Yearling ewes, fall ewe lambs and spring ewe lambs of any registered breed of sheep (including meat breeds) may be entered; again this year, we are offering sellers the option of selling a ram lamb or yearling ram with every two ewes sold. Beginning this year, the festival is waiving the sponsor’s surcharge of 2% of the gross price that had previously been deducted from the seller’s check. For entry information, visit the Banner Sale Management website. The entry deadline is March 15.

Again this year, the pre-sale show will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and the sale will be at 6:00 p.m on Saturday. This is a great opportunity to expand your flock. A complete sale catalog will be available at www.bannersheepmagazine.com as well as in the April issue of The Banner Sheep Magazine.

Please share information about our sale with as many others as you can!

Thank you!

Another Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival has come and gone, and we could not have done without all of you – Festival goers, volunteers, Festival Committee members, shepherds, and participants in so many activities, competitions and demonstrations! It is amazing to see this come together with all categories of participants contributing to its success. We tried some new things this year, and had a little bad weather to deal with, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding, support, and good cheer. Thanks to everyone for participating in our 44th celebration of all things sheep & wool! We are already thinking about how to do even better next year!

In Peace,

Gwen Handler, Chairman, Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival

Lee Langstaff, President, Maryland Sheep Breeders Association
