FL02 Needle-Felted Lamb with Jill Newman

Celebrate your love of fiber by learning to needle felt an adorable mini sheep or lamb! Students will learn the basics of needle felting, including how to form shapes and create a smooth, solid felted surface with wool, as well as how to add natural wool curls for the fluffy fleece and fine details for the face. Proficiency Level: Beginner, intermediate. Bring to Class: Foam pad and felting needles if you have them.
Class Fee: $100. Materials Fee: $15 for wool only OR $30 for wool, foam pad, needles, and felting kit to keep.
Jill Newman is a fiber artist who creates original felted wool jewelry and abstract art using both needle felting and wet felting techniques. She enjoys teaching and sharing her love of felting and mixed media in the Washington, DC area. Jill is a resident artist at Artists & Makers 2 in Rockville, Maryland, where she offers classes and parties at Zazzy Peacock Studios. Jill also exhibits and demonstrates at various local craft shows, galleries, and juried exhibitions, including the 2017 and 2015 Creative Crafts Council Biennial Exhibitions, the 2017 Celebration of Textiles at the GW Textile Museum, and Fiber National 2016 at the Workhouse Arts Center.
