KN10 Let it GO! Drop Stitch Patterns with Patty Lyons

Remember when the thought of dropping a stitch made your heart stop? Now learn to let that stitch GO! With drop-stitch patterns, you will discover the beauty of dropping a stitch on purpose. Drop-stitch patterns are fun, and they add a Wow factor to anything you knit. In this hands-on class, we’ll explore a variety of patterns that add texture and include manipulated drops and lifted floats. Add a bit of wow to any pattern. Come on, drop a stitch, and let it go! Proficiency Level: Must know how to work basic increases and decreases, including YO. Must know how to read your stitches. Bring to Class: Completed homework, yarn (smooth, light colored worsted weight yarn – wool or wool blend best), needles & hook (needle appropriate to yarn). Homework: Make four sample swatches using the instructions from
Class Fee: $50. Materials Fee: None.

Patty Lyons ( is a nationally recognized knitting teacher and technique expert who is known for teaching the “why” not just the “how” in her pursuit of training the “mindful knitter”. She specializes in sweater design and sharing her love of the much-maligned subjects of gauge and blocking. Patty teaches nationally at guilds, shops & knitting shows around the country, such as Vogue Knitting Live and STITCHES. Her popular classes can also be found on DVD and online at Interweave, Annie’s and Craftsy where her “Improve Your Knitting Class” was named Craftsy’s most popular class of 2013! Patty’s designs and knitting skills articles have been published in Vogue Knitting, Interweave Knits, Knit Purl, Knitters Magazine, Cast On, Knit Style and Creative Knitting magazines.
