About Us

We are a small fiber farm and indie-dye studio & shop in Mount Airy, Maryland. We produce many specialty, hand dyed, and farm grown yarns, as well as roving, fleece, kits, patterns, and fibery finished goods.

Karen is the dye artist, and everything fiber has gone through her hands at least once before it gets to you. She does all the skirting, washing, dyeing, and some carding, spinning too. The whole family participates in the farming and our shows and festivals.

Primarily we raise Angora & Colored Angora Goats and breed for ultra fine mohair. On our farm you might also see a llama, alpaca, rare breed chickens and a few other beloved critters.

To shop with us: We have new web store with all our most in-demand yarns and goods. We also do video concierge shopping by appointment, please just use the “contact” tab on the web to set up an appointment. We regularly open the farm shop. And, you may always make an appointment to shop.
To stay in touch with us: Please join our emailing list to get yarn, farm, event, and sales news. We do regular livestream videos from our Facebook page. We send out special client news to our Facebook group and Ravelry group. We host our TdF Team from our Ravelry group. And, goodness we are always posting to our Instagram page. We would love a follow, heart, or join in on any format.
