About Us

From the farm located by the mountains of VA to an island off the coast, our move has been more than a change in location, but a shift from raising sheep to dyeing yarns. We dye our Chincoteague Colors yarns right here on Chincoteague Island, and we draw the inspiration for the colors from our surroundings, whether the beautiful waters, or birds or landscape.

We have chosen fiber and fiber blends for softness and stitch definition. You will find many patterns written exclusively by us for our yarns. Our yarns reflect the beauty and uniqueness of our Chincoteague Island.
