About Us
Forty years ago I wove my first Rag Rug. Thirty years ago I had my first booth at the Maryland Sheep and Wool festival. Since that time I have recycled well over thirty ton of used cotton and wool clothing. Yarns used for the warp have always been natural fibers; wool, cotton or hemp. The tools of my trade are a pair of scissors and a 18th century counter balance loom. Energy source is from what I bring to the loom each day.
With roots planted firmly in our past, Rag Rugs continue to be a good choice for any floor, any style home. At a moment in time when we need to lessen our impact on the earth Rag Rugs will soften your step. In addition to my Rag Rugs, five years ago I introduced recycled wool sweaters in the form of hot pads or ‘Sweat’r Pads’ as I have named them. Wool is a remarkable fiber, as you know, and these hot pads …

About Us
Nistock Farms is located in the southern tier of NY state. We are just a few years from being a century farm! We fully transitioned from dairy to sheep in 2000 and continue to explore ways to showcase the versatility of wool by offering a wide variety of products. Our flock consists of about 125 registered Cotswolds and natural colored crossbreds of several breeds which give us a great range of fiber types to work with.
Nistock Farms is pleased to be an official Cotswold fiber provider in The Livestock Conservancy’s “Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em” program. We have passport stickers ready to go with your Cotswold purchase – please …

About Us
We are a family operated business that specializes in the elaboration of traditional and naturally dyed rugs from Teotitlan del Valle in Oaxaca, Mexico since 1978. Demetrio Bautista Lazo and his Wife Maribel Alavez Vasquez are the fourth generation of family weavers, they inherited the rug making knowledge from their parents and now they are determined to pass on the tradition to their son Victor Manuel Bautista, who has brought a new perspective on traditional patterns by experimenting with their arraignment and the colors.
