About Us

We are a father and son duo making innovative, generational fiber art equipment in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1971. While we are known for our thoughtful and durable designs, we also supply the highest quality fleece – washed, free of vegetable matter, and ready to process – via our Good Clean Fiber program.

We travel the country (in non-Covid times!) to about a dozen sheep and wool shows each year to teach and vend. We are thrilled to add Maryland Sheep and Wool to our schedule beginning in 2022! Our customers and students come from a wide variety backgrounds: from shepherds with a backyard or spinners flock, to producers with several dozen sheep, from novice to professional fiber artists, as well as industry professionals and instructors. We are happy to help you find the right piece of equipment and the right fiber, no matter what your needs are.

We offer free shipping on all US orders of $50 or more, including large and heavy items like drum carders and spinning wheels. Orders or $49 or less have a flat $5 shipping fee.

As a small, family-owned business, each and every order is important to us! We hope you’ll think of us when you are sourcing fiber or equipment as you go through the process from sheep to shawl. We offer:

  • Good Clean Fiber
  • Hand Cards
  • Flickers
  • The Lock Pop
  • Blending Boards
  • Drum Carders – Hand Crank and Electric
  • Spinning Wheels
  • Drop Spindles
  • Niddy Noddys
  • Weaving Shuttles
  • Electric Bobbin Winders
  • Books
  • Unicorn Fiber Products, including Power Scour
  • …and more!
