About Us

North Light Fibers produces handcrafted artisanal yarns in our micro yarn mill on Block Island, Rhode Island. All our yarns are 100% made in the US as we wash, dye, card, spin, ply and finish the yarns in our mill. We source the finest fiber from the best locations – while the vast majority of our fibers are sourced domestically, our cashmere, for example, is from Mongolia and our Silk and bamboo from South East Asia.

We take special pride in our kettle dyed colors and color approach as our yarns include a broad range of color approaches from deep hued to heathery to marled colorways. The yarns and colors are designed to create a lovely fabric for your garment and accessory.

We also work with world class designers and support new and upcoming designers with hundreds of knitting kits designed in our yarns. Please visit northlightfibers.com to see all the yarns and knitting kits.

We hope you will visit and experience our North Light Fibers yarns.

Registration for Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival Winterfest is now open at www.lessonface.com/sheepandwool!While we will be returning in May with our usual stellar lineup of in-person classes, we know a lot of you are only able to participate virtually. It’s just not feasible for us to offer online and in-person classes at the same time, so our solution is to bring you two days of virtual fiber arts seminars on Saturday, January 29 and Sunday, January 30. 2022. Winterfest 2022 will be held on the same Lessonface platform that served us so well for the 2021 virtual festival. Visit the Lessonface site above for full class details. #mdsw2022winterfest ...
