As one to the largest sheep and wool events in the country, the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival attracts approximately 20,000 visitors over two days and offers a unique advertising opportunity. There are 3 main advertising opportunities – our catalog, our website, and through our sponsorship program.

Catalog Advertisements

The Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival catalog contains nearly 200 pages of information about the specific workshops, events, demonstrations, displays, shows, auctions, and competitions at the Festival. Also included are advertisements from local and national companies pertaining to fiber arts or sheep. 3,000 catalogs are printed and distributed each year. They are retained by many Festival attendees as a resource and reference throughout the year. Since advertisers are indexed in the back, a catalog ad is a great way for customers to easily find you again and again. The deadline for catalog advertisements is January 1st.

Web Advertisements

Web advertising provides year-round exposure to thousands for as little as $100. In addition to being displayed on our Advertisers page, your full color ad will be featured in a rotation on the bottom of each page of the website. Clicking on the smaller ad will take the viewer to a full size version, which links directly to your web site. Web ads run from March through the following January to allow us time to change the site over for the next Festival. They can be purchased year-round.

Sponsorships

Our sponsorship program allows your business to support a specific event at the Festival. There are various price points which offer varying levels of exposure for the sponsor. More detailed information.

The Maryland Make it With Wool program relies on its sale of Wool Wax Creme at the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival to fund their activities. Since the festival was cancelled, they are selling the products by email this year. The post below shows the products available with instructions on how to order.

MIWW is an annual youth-centered sewing and needle work competition designed to promote the beauty and versatility of wool fabrics, yarns, and fibers. Preliminary competitions are held at the state level, culminating in the National Finals and Awards Banquet at the American Sheep Industry annual convention.

Please help keep Maryland youth sewing by ordering your wool wax creme today (plus it's a really great product, too).
