The Parade of Breeds is one of the highlights and unique offerings of the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival, as it celebrates the diversity of sheep breeds, old and new, common and exotic or rare heritage breeds, all of whom contribute to the sheep industry here in the United States. The breeds will be introduced, acknowledging their countries of origin and highlighting their particular characteristics and both traditional and current uses. There are few opportunities to see such a wide range of breeds as are represented at the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival Parade of Breeds.
