Fiber Arts Demonstrations

New location for 2022 – Main Exhibition Annex

You are invited to visit the Main Exhibition Annex any time between 9:00 a.m. and noon and 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday for free demonstrations of many fiber arts.

Stop by to talk with experienced fiber artist volunteers and you may see:

  • Spinning on a variety of spinning wheels
  • Spindle spinning
  • Weaving
  • Hand knitting
  • Sock machine knitting
  • Machine knitting
  • Crochet
  • Tatting
  • Bobbin lace making
  • Needlepoint
  • Needle felting
  • Embroidery

These fiber artists are excited to share the history of their craft and their experience with all ages. They are here to answer questions and to help you get an up-close and personal look at handcrafts in action.

Warm up for the Festival with Winterfest 2023!

Two days of virtual spinning, knitting, and felting classes on January 28 and 29.
